Confirmation of the Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) inactivation effect

(Implementation of cooperative investigation with Japan Nara Medical University)

This study was conducted under cooperation with Nara Medical University, a public university in Japan. The research report had been published on October 27, 2020 by the Nara Medical University, confirmed that this product MXAP-AE270 performs 99.9% inactivation effect on the Novel Coronavirus by generating ozone with its concentration of 0.05 ppm after 12 hours. The experimental results show that the Novel Coronavirus attached to the surface of the material can effectively prevent the possibility of contact with infection. 

Without Ozone:  Test results of placing the virus sample in an ozone-free environment (empty test). Sections where cells are destroyed by virus infection appear white (virus is not inactivated).

With Ozone: Test result of placing the virus sample in a low-concentration ozone environment. Cells are not destroyed by virus infection (virus is inactivated).

Test method: Attach 20μl of SARS-CoV-2 virus liquid (Test Virus strain: 2019-nCoV JPN/TY/WK-521)to a petri dish, and place it in a 62L volumetric cubic space at an ambient temperature of 23±5°C/humidity 60%±5, and then run MXAP-AE270 and control the chamber with 0.05ppm concentration of Ozone following the Permissible Ozone Concentration designated by the Japan Industrial Hygiene Society, and then detect and calculate the number of viruses at 12/16/24 hours to obtain the survival rate.
